Description

Native American hand drums have always been prized for their cultural background. Almost all Indian tribes used drums in American Indian history. Tarahumara Indian rain drums are examples of traditional Native drums that are hand crafted using a wooden hoop or frame and stretched goat skin rawhide heads and lacing with a handful of blue corn inside as a tribute to rain and bountiful harvest. Covered on both sides to form a double sided hand drum these traditional drums are held vertically by a rawhide handle on the side of the hoop drum. Great for drumming circles and meditation as well as art projects. Rawhide Indian drums can easily be painted with oil or acrylic paint. Drum beater included. Measures 12" diameter.
