Neatsfoot oil is the best rawhide conditioner for preserving natural hide drums. Regular use will help keep rawhide drum heads and lacing supple. For extended drum life prevent the rawhide from drying out by working conditioning oil into the rawhide. Some especially dry climates can dry a drum skin causing it to crack prematurely. Use neatsfoot rawhide conditioner as often as desired to maintain your pow wow drums, hand drums and drum tables.
